One fateful evening while watching a country band play at The Heatley (Vancouver’s littlest Honky Tonk), I met Erik and Jena of Duke and Goldie. We chatted about one day working together for some promotional images for posters, IG content and press release photos.

Fast forward several months, we sat down for a consultation. We decided to do a Full Day Photography Content session, about 8 hours of Photographing and 5 different locations around Vancouver. We really wanted to steer away from typical country music photos (insert tall grass and country roads) and opt for something a bit more West Coast.

The locations covered: woodlands with a horse, old growth forest, studio portraits, Blue Hour beach/ocean, and night time city.

Together, we picked wardrobe that specifically fit each scene. The main inspirations were Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Emmy Lou Harris, early 70’s textures, muted tones and compatible colour palettes vs matching.
